Seniors on Medicare should be aware of proposals to adjust reimbursement rates for chiropractic services.

If you are on Medicare and regularly receive chiropractic services, you should be aware of pending legislation that aims to increase Medicare coverage and physician reimbursement rates for chiropractic treatments.

The Chiropractic Medicare Coverage Modernization Act of 2019 (H.R. 3654) aims to increase Medicare coverage of chiropractic services, thereby enabling older Americans to take advantage of the profession’s non-drug approach to pain management. The bill is backed by the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and proposes to reverse reductions in physician reimbursement before they become law on Jan. 1, 2021.
