It has been several years since Bodyline owner Donald Dodds first designed an orthopedic pet bed using the same foam as is used in the Maxi-Rest pillows that Bodyline sells. The supportive foam is encased in a removable velour cover, like Bodyline’s Back-Huggars, that can be washed and reused.
We have a large surplus of these pet beds in our warehouse, and when the winter weather in Jacksonville turned very cold recently, we decided to donate 30 of these pet beds to Nassau Humane Society (NHS), a local animal shelter. NHS was thrilled to receive the beds, which were quickly distributed to help their adoptable dogs stay warm and comfortable. It was truly heart-warming to see these sweet pups enjoying their new beds!
NHS is a special place to Don and me because that’s where we adopted our sweet pup Sole’ 15 months ago. Sole’ is a very special rescue from Puerto Rico, where she was once a street dog that was saved by The Sato Project. (You may have heard of this great organization if you watched the Puppy Bowl recently.)
We are really thrilled to be able to help this wonderful animal shelter! Like so many others in January, we were inspired to make this donation in part by the #BettyWhiteChallenge.
